Jerome " Buddah " Daniels was Born in Hartford CT. Jerome was a 3 sport athlete at Bloomfield High School & earned All-Conference, All -State, & All-New England Honors for Basketball, Track & Football. Jerome only played his Senior Year in Football after being talked into playing by his Track/ Football Coach ,Coach White. As a senior Jerome was 6'3 285 pounds & was 16 years old. Coach's from all around the country flew to Bloomfield to see this one year wonder. Jerome with little experience in knowing what college football program would work for him took a scholarship to Northeastern University. Northeastern had a co-op program which allows students to work in their field of study & earn credits toward their degree. Jerome thought that this school would give him the best future & degree. Jerome at the time did not believe that he was a great football player & picked the school that would give him the best degree. At Northeastern in Boston Mass., Jerome became the player that every coach thought he would become. He had great Offensive line coach's like Doug Marrone now Syracuse Head Coach & Joe Philbin now the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers. Jerome became a two time All-American earning 3 different first team All- American Honors as a Senior. He was also Picked to play in the East- West Shrine Game, Senior Bowl & Hula Bowl. Jerome was the first player in Northeastern History to participate in post season All-star play. After Starting in the East -West Shrine game & being dubbed by sports writers as the best offensive lineman they have seen from a small school since The Cowboys Larry Allen, Jerome was giving an invite to the NFL Combine. Jerome as a senior was now NFL size standing 6'6 & weighing 365 pounds. At Jerome's Personal workouts with NFL Teams he was impressive & benched 225 pounds 36 times & ran the 40 in 5.19. Showing great agility for a man his size , he was Drafted to the Miami Dolphins in the Fourth Round of the 1997 NFL Draft . He also played for the Baltimore Ravens & was the Starting Left Guard for the Arizona Cardinals. Jerome retired from the NFL after tearing his patella tendon & officially hung up his helmet in 2004. Jerome was Featured in Sports Illustrated as one of the largest Football players in NFL History topping 390 pounds in the off season. Jerome now co-owns A-Z Sports camps & is a Tight ends & Offensive line coach at Phoenix College.
